Marathon is CUSAGC's annual incident hike for members of Scouting, Guiding or SSAGO aged 14+. Teams will have 9 hours to plot a route to visit as many of the 26 checkpoints as they like. Four of these checkpoints have challenges to complete to earn extra points; this being CUSAGC, ducks normally feature in at least one challenge. A hot meal is provided once you return to HQ and of course a badge is included in your entry.

Alternative Rally is back and it's gonna be a gouda one! Join us at Holwell Pastures on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray from the 29th September to the 1st October for edam good weekend of food and fun. Alternative Rally is a perfect introduction to SAGGA, combining the quirks of both SSAGO and SAGGA into one event. So whether you're facing the scary prospect of graduating or still not filled those rally cravings after years away why not join us and find out more about SAGGA. For those who've been to a rally there'll be a lot you find familiar. There'll stilton be a theme, with lots of silly games, camping and food. However, expect to ditch the stew and sit down for a SAGGA inspired feast on Saturday Evening, plus lots of other tasty options. On Saturday there'll be the chance to take part in a whole manner of activities in and around Melton Mowbray. From museums to charity shops, from pork pies to cheeses, and from hikes to kayaks, there'll be chance to mix and match some of everything!

SSROB returns with a grand challenge!!! We will be visiting all 272 stations in one day on the underground. That's right I'm mad to even suggest this but It's something I've wanted to do for a long time now and thought SSROB and SSAGO itself would also be mad enough to join me. We start on the Friday 21st at 5am at Amersham Underground Station visiting all 272 stations before finishing in Epping. Giving us the Weekend to recover at the Epping and Ongar Rale and Ale Festival (coincidently on the same weekend) You are not obliged to take part in visiting all the stations. it will be an all day activity and we will be tired by the end of it.

Rail Ale 2023 is held in Britain's last surviving Roundhouse, and will feature hundreds of drink options, free train rides and live music! We are exploring options to stay the Friday and Saturday nights at a local scout hut/campsite, and attend the festival Saturday afternoon-late, prices TBC. The Network Gathering is held annually over the Easter Weekend (7th -10th April 2023). This year we have moved venue and our home of Gathering 2023 is Gladstone Scout Campsite, in North Wales. The Gathering is a 4-day event purely for Network Members. The event is run by West Lancs Scout Network but is open to any Network member across the UK. . The fun begins on Good Friday and doesn’t stop until Easter Monday, we provide some activities but equally we are more than happy to support you in organising your own programme. The fun continues into the night with DJs, live bands and some fantastic entertainment. Your fee includes three nights of camping (Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the gathering. You can also camp on site on the Thursday night for an additional cost, please indicate on your booking if you wish to arrive on Thursday.

Now in its 47th year, the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra is made up of up to 90 members of Scouting and Girlguiding aged between 12 and 25 who are proficient in at least one orchestral instrument. The Orchestra meets once a year for an intense week of music making alongside Scouting and Guiding activities, culminating in two concerts at prestigious venues in the Birmingham area. The 2022 Saturday Evening Concert will take place in the Bradshaw Hall in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire!

Isle of Wight Revolution is an action-packed activity camp, with tons of activities during the day and then lots of fun and games in the evening, themed discos and fancy dress and campfires that go on even later than SSAGO campfires at night! Isle of Wight Revolution particularly invite SSAGO and now is our chance to take up that invitation! Past day activities have included a wide variety of insanity, from rib rides, power kites and hovercrafts to ultimate frisbee, drum workshops and ballroom dancing! It's always a chance to try something new, have a laugh and have a great time! Plus, there's always plenty of time to enjoy the beach too!

SSAGO loves knitting and crocheting! This is why we decided to all work together to create a SSAGO blanket for a charity! (Linus Blanket Project Tyne and Wear) If you join, you'll knit, crochet, nalbind, or in any other yarn art make one or more squares, which then will be posted to one person joining them all into one blanket.
